Great work thus far Stu. Think it is on it`s way to becoming a great report.
@ Vades, mine is a Nikon D60 with 18-55mm lense. a bit big for the fishing scene but nevertheless, after an epic trip or fish, all you realy have left is the pics and memories so I try to make the best of it.

damnit I knew it.i stood by the water when it was at its roughest and waited for it to surface.after release I stood for another 5 minutes, waiting for it to resurface. Out of water time was under 4 minutes, when we released and the water pushed it into the gully I already had a bad feeling. The water was terribly rough and though it swam away I noticed a strong surge take it awfully close to the bricks.

Thank you for the feedback I would not have slept knowing if it was mine or not. Just goes to show you how ones gut knows when something is not right. I've never had that feeling before when releasing a fish. Lesson learnt. The water in that gully was very strong-pushing tide.i could barely stand at the point and winch , never mind land anything. I physically saw the wave that caused its demise , very bad.

I won't make the same mistake again. Carry it to the point and let it go there. Shyte man. That sucks. We release them for recapture , not for identification.

Great to have you on board I think the fish things has bitten you now, PS. credit cards have a limit not a target but once you start fishing it all changes.

For Most , going to Mazeppa without a gillie isn't an issue , but Let Me tell you this Little guy knows the place ,and Well too .

After so many years he accurately Predicted the Wind , and Swell  as if it were Nothing .

he is pictured here with some much needed spare clothing that we Decided would be a good idea to Take along .  it was Much Appreciatted and a New Friendship was formed .

Below is a fish Eye  of  the house . Sleeps 25 , albeit on baby beds , and 4 inches From the Floor  Lolololol!

but The house has more than enough space to Not leave you feeling cramped , and i cannot imagine a finer place to Sip a Frosty on a good weather Day , with the view it presents ..

Accommodation is Reasonable , and we are , by The Grace of god , planning another return Trip .

I now Need to , to cleanse Myself of the hammer thaT washed up on the beach . i Cannot Get Over It  :(

Witrh the Weather Looking like This , i finally closed the Chapter on My Mazeppa trip . It had Ended too soon , and after Reading Neville Barnard's Remark of going back for 3 weeks over december , i could Only imagine how another 3 Weeks would have been for Me ... :)

The potential for an epic Trip , at This fine fishing spot , is huge .

i tried to Call frikkie from the Freestate but he Wasn't answering , so we Automatically assumed he Was still lying lepel with Boepens off Lennies .

With enough time for an extra fishing Session  , i Thought it wouldn't be a Bad idea to Head to Lennies , the guys could put in an Eds Session and I could get busy with  pulling on a gun .

en route to  Kidds beach , we Managed to miss the turn off- again - and while shopping for a toilet for rob , pulled up behind this bloke , whom sheldon now tells Me lives In Port alfred .

pretty damn funny . those that find it offensive close your eyes And scroll down !

we Arrived at Kidds Beach , turned into Lennies - And the Excitement was There  From the start, All over again .

Frik had managed 4 hookups already on the push , so I Was hoping we'd end the trip with a lekka run .

Frik, in his famous shirt with the Boss Pose  and  Taureg Arabian look
