Artlure lessons/experience

I am looking for an experienced Artlure Angler to take out 3 inexperienced lure anglers for a day to show us the ropes and possibly catch some fish on lure, techniques etc. We would be able to bring our own tackle. If you are interested in making some spare cash please let me know.

Hi Steve, most artlure guys don't have big enough boats to take 4 oakes. We use flat deck bass boats with few chairs as we prefer lots of deck space for fishing and do very little sitting. Another problem is that the more oakes on the boat the more difficult it is to be stealth as there is constantley someone loosing their footing or what not which makes a noise and spooks fish. The ideal setup for artlure is 2 guys on a boat and max 3. It is also difficult for 3 guys to fish artlure effectively (depending on the targeted species), so usually we make turns to catch fish as the fish spook when everyone targets the same fish at the same time. My dad and I sometimes take people out but our boat can only take 3 people (1 skipper, 2 passengers). Antoher option is to ask Takkie Branford, he may be able to take all 3 of you on his boat. I don't know what he charges per day. He is on Sealine so you can pm him. Cheers

My best advice ito learning as much as possible as fast as possible about our game is to read the posts on Sealine and follow my dad's series of articles on artlure angling in Tight Lines magazine. Every month he discusses a how to target a different specie via artlure and its contains useful tips and detail. My dad is Droomvanger, think you have already spoke about doing a trip together and costs etc. Just follow-up with him and state that you will only be two anglers for the day. Otherwize get back to me. I would love to take you out and show you the ropes, but I'm time strapped as its difficult to balance studying and competing in all provincial leagues/clubcomps/open comps/junior comps (you get my drift)
