Lots of grass and lots of fish just feed allot and take a canoe with

I do specimen angling so It would be a blow back but for conventional a gly rietvlei and if it gets to hectic with the snags remove one hook

Even better make a small hair rig on a babyshoes rather make the rig with a. size 8 hook and small hair for koo mielies bit just feed allot on the open areas

Usually I feed with hemp kaboem pitte and crushed mielies for a weekend I go in with a canoe the check for a open spot and feed and fetch my fish aswell the grass is hectic o ja try to fish at the dog leg

The dog leg is at the day visitors side go to the specimen section there is a thread either on page 2 or 3 it shows exactly where the dog leg is try to get your lines in way before dark cause the float tube would scare off the fish when dropping lines

Yip, that is generally our area as well.
I've been told on many occasions that the fishing there is mediocre and that the fishing is a lot better further up on the inlet to the dam.
Never walked up there, too far from my cooler box.
From your spot too, many guys have canoed there baits in past the middle of the dam towards the reeds with excellent results as well.
You will need a lot of patience then as the fish has to go through the grass on his way back.
