There sure are bass in those waters. See you have the gear, so try out for them along the edges and the reeds. You could phone Wesley at The Carp Inn in Springs. He is now into bass angling and knows those waters. He has his national colours as junior freshwater bank angler as well.

Can tell you the kurper were jumping like crazy, all day, left right and centre.
Pity I don't know the first thing about kurper fishing.
