Hi guys. I stay in Vereeniging been bass fishing Vaal River and Vaal Dam. Not mutch sucess.

Need some advice on baits and good places around hear.

I believe the stretch between Three Rivers and Loch is fishing very badly at the moment due to polution, not sure if this is still the case.

Thank goodness for that info I thought that I was just useless at this Bass thing.

On a serious note I tend to agree. I would love any other suggestions for Bass spots around hear. I am desperate to atleast catch something.

Bud have you considered Bass lake? Should be close to where you stay, and you will catch fish there....

Try Groenpunt correctional services, theyve got three dams there, fishing is just a bit tough.

Thanks I am planning a trip to Bass Lake. But that is a longer trip.
Do not always have the time to spend whole day. Just want to wet a line when the time is there. Travel Verg,Vdbp and Sasol a lot so any Quike spots will be wonderful also.

Use to fish a lot at Groenpunt when younger did not know we could still go there. Fished any thing from 20kg Babers to lovely Yellow fish there but never Bass. But will cartenly give it a try.
