I would like to know how well these camp master tents that game sells hold in rain and weather?

Does the water seep through?

If you have one please let me know.

I have 2 and they are good value, ok to use a few times a year but be careful of very strong winds, a full canvas tent is better if camping a lot but are 4-5 times the price.

i have always been happy with my campmaster tents holds well in rain and that but wind can be a problem if you have not set the tent up properly

I have had no problems with Campmaster and Rain.

For added protection - you may want to buy a tube of Seam Sealer to use on the the Seams.

As said by the guys above -- good tent

BUT -- not a tent for the wind

--- not a tent to handle as roughly as a canvas tent

--- Not to be used very often, more like a once or twice a year tent

Handle with care.

Then again for the price its worth it definitely.

If its going to be a long term investment rather buy a canvas tent now and it will last a long time.

Just as Simen says, no wind.

This is a campmaster tent that was a bit in the way of the elements at Bloemhof dam.  Philip's sleeping bag was rinsed out of the tent as well as a white towl (only a loving wife would pack a white towl on a fishing trip) amongst other things.  The towl enced up a nice shakey colour :-D

At least all the tent parts were still there.  We were up in the Vetrivier waiting the storm out before we could head back because that strip of water can become seriously ugly in a storm...

Another such an experience was at Jozini.  The tents ended up looking like a squatters camp as we had to fix it up each night we got back.  We left just as management was going to complain about the rags we camped with :-D

I hate bloody tents ;-D

Oh yes, Billy, also at Bloemhof, thought his beer box was loaded enough to keep his tent anchored.  He ended up running after ithat dome tent through the camp site as the wind rolled it through there, trying to catch it.  It was really funny.  Lesson learned - bring more beer (and tie the tent down ;-)

Have the large campmaster and it works a treat. Caught in huge storm at Bhanga Neck, Kosi bay, No water inside tent and howling winds. Its the one that looks like a house rather than the dome one. Has plenty of straps.

Alos have a small popup campmaster for the quick overnight trip. Works great but not good in rain ....

One thing to note with a canvass tent, If its wet when you pack up, you will have to unpack the tent else it will rot.

If you camp in places where there is plenty of wind like mile 108 . Invest in couple of " howling moon lapa " from camp world. You can also get same item at Makro. Its like a wall, but keep any wind in control. I have been using that type of wall since 1987

As jy enige plek by Namibia kus kamp . Onthou om ook vir Oos wind voorsiening te maak.Anders eindig jou kamp soos ons se kamp in 2001 . Wat gelyk het of tornado daar verby is ,na 10 min goeie Oos wind !!!
