With the economy so poor, we all need to do a little extra. I was wondering, if you were looking for some equipment for your works / company where do you start looking?

Google?
Yellow pages (book)?
Yellow pages (internet)?
Brabys?
Industrial buyers guide?
Other?

Would appreciate your input.

Your question is rather a difficult one to answer.

I am a buyer for a large firm and each of them has it place and time.

Google - Good for using when you are looking for something very specific and specialty products.

Yellow pages (book) - Anything local
Yellow pages (internet) - Good for getting suppliers that is not in your province

Brabys and Industrial Buyer have to much clutter so I don't use them

Google.
Filtering it can be a pain - but honestly, one has to question a companies long term view if they are not on the web.
I don't think you need a dominant, paid, top of page position, but your relevance should make you first page.

Thanks guys.
The reason for my question is I manufacture equipment and I need to do some serious marketing but I would rather concentrate on something that has the best usage / results.

I prefer Google, it's nice if you look for something and you land on a companies web pages that's functional to use and search.

If I land on a webpage that's cluttered/difficult to navigate, I normally just close it & move on.
