This is the shad trace that myself and my father use, it is very successful and has the added bonus of being able to adjust your cork for different bait sizes
First, what you need:
.Steel (no.3 - no.5, I like using no.3)
.Clear nylon (0.50mm - 0.70mm, I generally use 0.50mm)
.Three way swivel (size is a personal preference, I like the size 4 variety)
.Wine cork cut in half (you can make your own, or buy them, they are R1 each or something like that)
.Sasati stick (the sticks used to impale meat on and cook over the braai)
.3/0 long shank hook
.Sinker line
