I have owned one for a long time

It is safe, well constructed and overdesigned llike all Ace-Crafts. Also very well finished.

Fishes very well with two or three people

Bow-light unless they have moved the C/C forward, so can be irritating. Runs beautifully in a following sea though.

Economical...1,5 km/litre if I remember right ( haven't used her for three years)

Shallowish deep-vee, but still, if heavy okes on board,  leans like hell.

Cavitates on short turns in the surf, but with experience you can sort this

I have been in and out most rivers in the Transkei north of Coffee Bay. It will take you there and back from Shelley Beach... bigger boats stay away from the river mouths.

I can plane on one motor on a flat sea, but have two 50's

How much are they asking?

Post some pics

PS:

You are lucky cause Ace Craft went out of business that year, I think.

On second thoughts,

I was was deurmekaar

Ace Craft went out of business in 1993 if I recollect right

So the hull cannot be 2003 unless someone is using/copied the plug and even then it will not be called an Ace Craft

I also saw this some time back advertised as a new or late model? Ace Craft

Does anyone know whats going on?

They also made them with a forward control

and yes, it was advertised as a 2003 model. Did they not buy the molds ?

Rappie,

Looks like the same thing, but it will not be Ace Craft that built it, which could mean that their is less of everything in the hull construction, even if it is the same mould

The hull design is very good and proven...it looks like the console is a bit more forward which would be an improvement

I see you are in Tweni...I have a friend in Hibberdene who had the same boat with forward control...PM me and I can give you his name and number...he will be able to tell if he had alook at it

Meantime, here's the only other pic I have

Thanks Catch,

Was gonna sell it to one of my sons but think now I must keep it cause the slip here is too dicey for the other boat

Also nice for tail and snoek...two weeks ago this whole bay was full of trawlers slagging the Tail on our doorstep!
