Yes ive been fishing again this weekend,didnt drive very
far this time,cause it was on my uncles farm,about 2kms from my house and 10steps from our workshop,my cousins and i intreduced bass into this small dam about 12months ago and the results is out of this world!!!!
The dam had a very large number of bream before and we got the fingerlings from other dams as we fished it.They were very small,about 100grams and somehow they must've got hold of sterhoids or something!!!!!They are strong,solid and agressive,the dam is a bit shallow but never run dry so i'm looking forward catching some good fish there(so close by to)!!!!!!!!!
We fished the dam after work on thursday afternoon,we didnt take a camera with and my cousin got a 2,2kg and i got a 1,5kg,not bad at all,we took old bakkie tyres and chuked it in close to the bank to give the dam a bit more struckture,seems to do the trick,we have taken a few fish around them.
Today i went alone with my trusty cranking rod and a shallow running Mann's,Baby 1, and he didnt dissapiont me,i got 7 fish in about 2hours of fishing around grass patches and shallow srtuckture,all of them in the 1,5kg class,i had a great time!
