I'm using 60lb fireline at the moment, works well. Make sure to get radial braid (round)as it casts better. 80lb will also work, but not neccesary, and thinner braid has less drag.

Soory dont know the poundage, just dia

For scratching, I wont consider going to a larger dia than .38. Rather add a thicker leader if you are between bricks.

In fact I use .38 on all my reels, scratching or not.

REMEMBER, you are asking about FIRELINE.

A cheaper one is Kingfisher casting braid, same dia, good for the price.

Afri-Cast braid is also good, been using it on my grinder and multiplier for some time now and we have had no problems with it. I use the 50lb.
