Hi All,
In the market for a small boat to cruise rivers with.. mostly Bushmans. Thinking about a 410 utility with a 15-20hp motor..
General use for fishing and cruising the river with the kids (don't need speed)

I know in PE they used to make a Utility 410 but for the life of me cannot remember the name/company who made them.. any ideas?

Alternatively. any suggestions as I am new to the boating scene

requirements:
easy to launch / maintain / clean  - like asking for the perfect wife :)
open boat wanted no cabin requPost a New Topicired
stable - still undecided re flat botom vs v shaped monohul - EC being windy at times... might opt for monohul instead?
motors - which are considered good value / reliable ?
budget - around 50k

Ideas welcome.

Hi yeboants
It is a Utility 401.
Here is the link, but not sure if they are still moulding them. Saw the moulds are up for sale on Gumtree.

Not sure what the max size is you looking at. Give Justin Dent of Orca Marine a call. He has a 14.5ft Island Runner mould. He is super helpful and does an awesome job.

Orca are awesome boats but pricey. Look at the Bandit 380 and 410 by Mark Jamieson in Kenton. Good value and nicely laid out.

You can also look at Indigo Boats in PE - they built a 4m called the E400 (I think) which is a cathedral hull.

Tait Marine in Knysna are also building the Witblitz / Riverblitz 430 again. Its a famous little cat previously made by Supercat in Port Alfred.
