Hi all!
I recently came accross something that i have never seen or heard from before.
My work send some of theyr employees to do a skippers course on their rubberduck that gets used for oil spills ect.
We spent 5 days on the water with 8 hours of running a day for sea time and the course was given to 5 other groups as well so before us on our boat.
What i saw was that they were using diesel engin oil in the outboard motors (2 Evenrude ETEC 50hp) where the 2 stroke was suppose to go into the self mix bottle.
the engins was running perfect with little to no smoke and smell. when i querried the sittuation the guy said that the person who he bought the boat from who is a outboard mechanic advised him on using engin oil instead of 2-stoke oil and sofar no hassels!
Has anybody ever heard something like that before?
