So after much deliberation I decide not to buy a new boat but to rebuild my 19 foot Tomcat that is only 8 years old. I knew the boat was taking on water as it would drip for weeks and was noticeably heavier as we were battling to turn her on the beach. Deck off rotten and waterlogged.

Does anybody have an opinion on Rubbaride axle's for use on boat trailers. My thinking is it would cut out the routine replacement of the leaf springs. I wonder though if you would have water ingress between the rubber insertions and the steel housings.
