Hey guys i have a yamaha 60ed bit old i reckon 1999 or so and am battling to get the cooling water inlet to work
By disconnecting the pipe at the top and putting the garden hose pipe into the pump (is it the pump) at the top and filling it up with water and connect the black pipe again which comes from the prop...Then the water sprays out nicely when started.
So basically i first have to fill up with water and reconnect the pipe which works from the pilot hole before the cooling system works ....is it a pressure problem or leak sucking air ..

Have you checked your impellors, they may be worn out and as a result are not sucking water up and through your cooling system.
