Hi Galeka
its quite easy . you need to drop your lower end unit like you would for normally for your impeller replacement.
You will clearly see your shift rod boot seal, you then simply hold the shaft with one hand and pull the remainder of boot upwards with your other hand.
if the boot has broken off and left a portion behind you will the have to remove the speedo pipe and the one 10mm bolt that holds down the plastic plate. gently pry the plate upwards with a big screwdriver, it has an o-ring that holds it in place.
once the plate is off look for the pieces of the boot that did not come away when you pulled it up the shaft.
Buy a new boot and if necessary a new o-ring.
its a simple process and take it slowly so as to not force any thing and burr edges.
Cheers
