I mainly do bottom fishing and decided to make my sinker 'usefull' and do some work....I will try and post a few pics..poor quality but that's the cellphone...get a length of stainless tube from the scrapyard..I used 15 mm/ half inch.Hammer one end so it closes..even better just give it a quick weld..(stainless welds make anyone look a pro welder)..next, boil up the lead and pour.A six/seven inch long tube will weigh 400/500 grams..get out the angle grinder and cut the top end at about a 45 degree angle.Cut the bottom end straight across (the pics will help).Drill a small hole through the top of the 'angle'. Now drill out a couple of 'eye sockets' close to the top end..just enough to make a nice 'hollow'...drop in a little white paint.Allow to dry overnight then a drop of black paint for the eyeball..once dry.. varnish over the eyes.Now attach a clip and and solid ring to the hole you drilled earlier....attach an assist hook to the ring... and the line to the ring.I have caught some lovely kob on this lure, great satisfaction when you made it yourself .Makes me wonder...all this luminous stuff they sell...seems to me that kob can see very well..even at 35 metres!
