Hey guys,
Been off sealine and fishing for way to long, but i finally got my act together and have organized to go fishing this long weekend, leaving tomorrow.
I will be fishing at hartbeespoort. The place i will be fishing is situated on the Western side of Hartbeesport. I normally fish at like the small piece of land in front of all the boats parked in the dock.
Now here's the situation. I have only seen one carp being caught from there. I personally have only caught a few nice catfish, kurper and bass even though i always try for carp. To make things more difficult it is winter.
The carp i saw being caught was a nice one of around 5-6kg, they were using a canoe to get their baits out quite far. They were fishing conventional style.
I unfortunately can not organize a canoe in such short notice.
I have also found that in winter there is also alot of weed on the floor.
Anyway can any of you sealiners please give me some help with regards to a strategy, bait, rig etc
please help as soon as possible!
Best regards,
Sharon.
