While fishing...

Hi guys and Gals,

I have an interesting story to share with you. About a month back I was fishing in Ballito by the boathouse (Salmon bay) where they launch jetski's. I was fishing for live bait - casting probably 5m in and I felt a peculiar tug on my rod so I struck. Boy was that line tight! After fighting for a minute or so my line moved off to the right and I continued reeling in and pulling and POP out came a complete fishing rod with reel. lol

I took it home,  stripped it and cleaned the sand out. It must have been in the water for a day or two because there is absolutely no rust on it. The reel is scratched because of the rocks and that but further nothing wrong.

I would say that was a good nights fishing! :D

I'll try my best to be there. Do you know where in Ballito?

Beware of night fishing because they break into cars there. The safest place would be by the boat house (salmon bay) you can see your vehicle from the beach.
