Which is best for drop-shot?

I want to take drive up the North Coast on Saturday (01 November) to test out my new equipment (Daiwa Exceler 9' and Abu Garcia Cardinal 804) and was thinking along the lines of Sheffield, Tinley Manor or Tugela River mouth.
Can anyone give me some advice on which would be the best spot at the moment and where the "spots" are.
I am relatively new to drop-shot having done a bit of lighter stuff down in Transkei catching a few shad and black-tail but would like to try for some larger eds it possible.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

ive fished quite a bit around sheffield... a good spot is at low tide (springs)take a walk to christmas bay, walk straight past the bay, as there usually always guys fishing there.... walk a further 300 meters north. there is some good rock formation.. i've thrown in the gullies there and hit a few small kingies and even a bream or two. if u keeping, make sure u got your licence on u as there usually some parkies hovering around. where they should be is on the piers in durban sorting out the shad numbers.. good luck bru...

Yip, always got my license on me and even got asked for it at Flat Rocks just south of Umgazi in Transkei. I told the "officer" that once he has checked all the other people fishing there for licenses I will produce mine!

No problem ignoblis; maybe you can show us the ropes up there. I will be parking at a mates place (off Google Earth - 29°28'58.02"S ; 31°15'32.79"E) and will be there on Saturday. I was hoping to fish around the rocks in front there. What are your plans for Saturday?

Ignoblis, sorry we didn't get a chance to meet up. We fished both north and south sides of Tugela River Mouth without any success!! Got one smash and grab on a soft bait on drop-shot which left my Gulf in tatters but that was it. We did go and have a look at Zinkwazi and Sheffield later in the afternoon and it will definitely be Sheffield next. The conditions today were near perfect but no-one was catching anything. I must be missing something?

I got a nice Shad ( released of Course) and Plenty of Black Tail on Camo worm on Saterday.

Also saw some very large fish but was un able to get my baits out far enough to them. I ran up to get my 9' rod but the action was over by the time I returned.
