Where to get galjoen this weekend?

I would appreciate some info on where i can try to spear galjoen this weekend. Thinking about maybe kommetjie/soetwater area or bettys bay area. The wind will be mostly SE the rest of the week. If some one can please give me some hints and where it will be better to go klap a gallie. Info on spots will be also appreciated.

Hey Visjag,

Welcome! Soetwater & Betty'e will probably be out this weekend. There's a large swell forecasted. If you're not diving alone (which you shouldn't be) Look at the western side of False bay... There will be gallie about possibly a nice Roman or Hottie.

Thanks for advice. I'm not to fond of diving false bay. It's way too creepy for me. Any other diveable places this weekend even if its just hotties. Just need to get in the water

I reckon that there will be too much swell for most of the weekend. If you know of a spot that holds fish and is somewhat protected from the swell, then go for it...

The swell subsides on Sunday arvie, so thatere might be an opportunity on the atlantic side. Go have a look at Soetwater, but the water's not very clean. Having said this, this is not a problem for Gallie. you only need a couple of meters in front of the gun. Park on the pass and have a look for patches of cleaner water.
