Hi All,

Looking at the fishing regulations posted elsewhere on this site, can anybody clarify a point for me?

The regs identify various areas as "No fishing allowed", "Only shore angling allowed" or "No fishing from the shore allowed".

I assume that if it states "Only Shore Angling Allowed" - it means you can spearfish from the beach in those areas?

Similarly, if "No fishing from the shore is allowed" you could spearfish off a boat? 

"No fishing allowed" areas are reserved for poachers, this bit I understand...

Only place I know that spearing is allowed from shore along with r&l (no boat fishing) is at the Three Sisters reef off East London and Cape Point.All the rest are no spearing,
