Im looking to buy a rod for spinning in the surf what length rod would be best? the reel i plan on using is a penn powerspin 6000 will that be ok? And what rod will match this reel. Want to throw plugs and spoons.

Depends on many things
Can you compress a spinning rod rated up to 200grams (7oz) ?
That's a big plug and a heavy spoon, especially with thin braid!
Personally a rod that can do 3-4 oz is what I prefer
I enjoy a 9ft rod and an appropriate grinder loaded with 12-20lb casting braid, throw a 3oz plug a very long distance
Its lite so u can "spin" for much longer

Ok so a 10ft rod is best then? Will the reel match this rod or not? If not what size reel will match it?
