So what do you wear to protect you from the merciless sun and wind when spinning? (brand names)
Some guys wear long-sleeve UV resistant shirts, caps goggles, wetsuits, gloves of net n kortbroek en T-shirt.

We need a section on angling attire for us newby anglers,
maybe some of the clothing suppliers can sponsor this section so that we can dress for success.

Items to protect against sun and wind:

1) My favourtie broad rimmed Johnsons hat
2) Buff
3) Polarised Sunglasses (I use the cheap Dischem variety)
4) Long sleeved thermal undershirt
5) Sunscreen!

Normally get the most sunburn September/October when the mornings start cool, but heat up exponentially through the day. Always forget my sunscreen after the winter....

I use a long sleeve UV resistant shirt, the one with all the different brands on, a cap with the neck flap I think its made by Sensational and polarized sunglasses (I have 3 different ones) I prefer the blue lenses

In my younger days it was the bare minimum, like shorts, T shirt & your broad rimmed hat.....ons was braaf & het later geworry oor die sonbrand:fbash

But it drastically changed when getting older, now it's a hat, buff, quick dry shorts/shirt, a SPF 50, sunglasses & "bob's yr uncle" almost look like a desert warrior....but its to the advantage of one's skin.

I honestly cannot stand the feeling of thermal undershirt or those skinny pants or extra clothing when standing next to the water.....I maar take the lotion & do a good job & take the pain later.
