Hi guys

i fished at umkomaas north bank today from 4am, lots of small grunters. Some made size but most of them were undersized.Unfortunately i hooked up one about 350mm with red eye belly but most of the guys were using cracker and the grunters were on the cracker diet today.

The fish was biting like crazy with cracker.

cheers

Hey Guys,

I fished on North Pier on saturday, but could not get any good runs coz the little fish were eating up my mackrels like lightening! on the  bay side however, there was a lot of red's, but they were small, also, i got a nice garfish on my dropshot............and another guy had a nice chase using a plug.........

at virginia, the guys are killing the shad, but they are also getting "killed" by the parksboard..lol:D

also, a guy i know caught a shad at south pier, whilst fishing for grunter and couldnt resist keeping it.......if it were me, i dont think that i could resist the temptation either!:)

WOW:shock:

that is a big catch. But its strange that he was fishing for grunter and managed to catch that shad. A grunter trace would not consist of a steel trace and float;)

I think he might have been fishing for shad:X

just my own opinion, i may be wrong

Cheers

well nivi, im not saying that you are right or that you are wrong, but this guy usually fishes with heavy tackle, and his trace line was 0.70mm so the fish probably didnt bite through the line in time..........................
