Okay, so I've been @ it a while, the first ones were complete flops. The latest ones are still flops although (perhaps) of a little better quality, nevertheless still not what i want, but that'll will soon change as I've stumbled upon a very helpfull and friendly Lady that knows how to do lasercutting and she's busy cutting me stensils so soon very soon the colours/patterns will be exact as can be.

the cell-phone doesn't realy reflect the true image and the colours are a little darker than it is in actaullity, but here's a pic of the bass drift-bait, also still a flop as both these (but mainly the kurper) were done free-hand airbrushing, the bass saw some stensiling.

Soon as I can get out of this course (to save the management from embarrasement) but there's a Mpumalanga trip that will have to take place 1st, already started to get permission on my side (well softening her up still) but yeah after that anytime buddy.

do they come in different depth ranges, floating, slow sinking, fast sinking??

They do come in various weights but as current the only one is a drift bait, but getting the sink rates etc right is no problem its merely a matter of adjusting the weights.

Hey LGF,

U go bud, fantastic stuff , I now realise that there's more to us fisherman than just catching fish , we create the creatures that we catch the fish with !! 

Its friggen amazing to see what gets to see the light when fisherman put their hands onto the basic materials lying around in the garage/house - and Bob's ur Unclce !

Just have a look at work by yrself , BennieJordaan, PH and the other guys , the DIY is absolutely ALIVE.

I wanna say keep it up guys , its so educational to learn from yr fellow mates, fun to read sense, and there's no DIY that goes unseen without showing my mates (and my teen son) at work which they find very interisting, and the fun part of this is - there is not a word of politics/crime & sh..t in it , or even a destinct hint and yr attention and focuss just drifts away creating more lures that has never been seen nor made (Not me - leave that to the craftier guys- I will keep on dreaming).

@Ben Reiners, buddy, we all start somewhere, I should post pics of the first lures I tried, you cry of laughter and pitty at the same time, don't give up, it's more rewarding than you can ever imagine right now, give your creativity the place the time and some effort and you'll be pleasantly surprised at what you can achieve. There's always peeps here on the forum that are more than willing to help.

@PH, right you are, had it not been for all the support, advice and knwohow from many a fellow here, I probably wouldn't be at the level or the point where I am now. BTW hows that medieval spin casting machine thingy of yours coming on?

@100% African, Thanks buddy, the final tweaking and tuning is happening as I type with paint on my hands and then it's very close to perfection time, as soon as the irritating 4 week course that started on monday is over it's the final field test and then it's big bass all the time (i hope).

Already caught "you know who" on one she grabbed it 5 times in a row, each time swimminf off with it and having me jerk it out her mouth 10meters later, but the 6th time U used one that had two hooks and here she is 3.86 with a very soft belly almost like she had recently dropped a whole bunch of eggs (i know its not time yet) but it was really loose, perhaps the old lady hadn't eaten for some time.
