Seeing the recent post about vasfontein made me decide to go there sometime next week i would just like to know is it open during the week and is it still R50 would i need a license or should i just have one in general, and what lures etc would u recommend.

You can fish any day of the week, from sunup to sundown for 50 bucks.

Rattle Trap,
X-rap rapala (shallow dive, the dam is only 2.5mtrs deep)
Spinnerbaits
Swimbaits
brushhogs watermelon red

No license needed.

Take a choppie and some charcoal and you'll have a ball!
