"Vades" start to tickle my mind when he mentioned that he's using Berkley's new product NanoFil.
Here is what Berklley says about it.

I did some research on Berkley's new product - NanoFil and find this test review and find it very interesting !
Does it cast farther than mono or braid--absolutely. It really shines the lighter the lure. I find it lets you step down several sizes in lure and still lets you cast farther than with a heavier lure. It also seems to let you cast lighter lures below the rod rating. On average, you can cast 30 to 40 percent farther with this line.
Sensitivity: It is very sensitive, much more than mono. You can really feel the thump of a spinner or action of a lure at very slow speeds. You can also feel the slightest bump from a fish. Much more sensitive than any mono I've used, and I've used all the major brands. It's a no-stretch line and the small diameter account for a lot of the sensitivity.
Memory: I fish with light and ultra light spinning gear. The small spools on these reels really test a line for memory. This is the main reason I wanted to try this line. I have to say it really doesn't have memory at all. It has a simple hand and when you cast it, it kinda reminds me of a fly line. It seems to want to straighten out once it leaves the spool. It also seems to resist line twist as well.
The Berkley rep I spoke with said that with this line, it truly breaks at the actual pound test. You don't get the stretch you do with mono. Since the diameter is so small you can go up in test and still get all the benefits from the line.
Color: Berkley calls it clear mist, but it looks white on the spool. I was concerned about this, but the line disappears once it gets below the surface. You can see it when it is on top of the water. I've found that fish don't care about it even when I used a really short 18 inch leader. I've taken it on three outings and got fish every time. I caught a trophy at Harriet using this line. So i guess the fish aren't seeing it.
Trolling: You can easily get deeper with this line due to the extra small line diameter. There is less water resistance trolling or retrieving a lure.
Knots: You'll need to use the double Palomar knot to tie on terminal tackle and the double Albright for joining line directly to leader.
Is it better than mono--Overall Yes
Would I buy it again? Yes. I will be setting up my other reels with it.
Is it worth the suggested retail of a spool. Yes
Berkley suggests using mono as a backing since the diameter of NanoFil is so small. That way you don't have to use as much of the more expensive line.
Do I work for Berkley--No. I know this reads like a commercial, but I'm impressed with this line. All I can say is it works and works as advertised.
