Hi

Me and a buddy went to the Vaal for a fishing weekend and caught a few barble, carp and 1 yellow. All fish were on the smallish side but they kept us quite busy. The weather were perfect for a change, the wind also decided to give us a break.

Dawid persisted with his mealies and bait boat and I stayed with doughs and white mealiepap. The latter produced the most bites (again). Even the yellow decided to go for pap. It was released in the water - forgot to take a picture.

Something interesting is the fact that the competitive anglers in our club are now being penalized when they weigh in a yellow. I think all the clubs should adopt this approach to ensure the yellow's survival.

Cheers

And who said you can't use Penn multipliers for carp fishing!

This is now a SAVOF Rule and no yellowfish will count in any league (Provincial or National). If a yellowfish is brought to the weighmaster it will result in immediate disqualification. This rule is applied at all club levels.

Nice catches
