What is the latest from Vaal dam? I want to try the dam this weekend!

I'm planning on Bass fishing there this weekend. I believe there are nice bass there. Saw a fishing program on tv, where they were catching at the Main Marina. (But you need permission to fish there). They caught quite a few. A friend of mine was there 2 weeks ago and caught 3 +-800g just off the docks. With a boat i hope we will be more successful.
