Hey guys I'm going to Upington this weekend has anyone fished this area in recent times what is working and what baits to use I'm going to target barble in the oranje river any tips will be appreciated thanx

Haven't been there recently but it almost always stays the same. BIG BAITS = BIG CATS. So catch yourself some decent Carp (2,5 - 3,5 kg class) and use there heads. See if you can get a quiet stretch of water (meaning no noise, no light and no rapids) between two rapids. Fish for your Carp baits in the middle and lower peace of that water body and then before dusk you move upwards to the upstream rapid. Target the area just below the rapid at different spots/depths which you pre-identified. Close to reeds is always a good spot to start.
