Umhlanga challenge

Competition is a biggest gamefish competition.Excluding billfish.

It is open to all kayak and jet ski fisherman
Registration and weigh in is at the umhlanga ski boat club only…Registration is on Friday the 19 th of March.Prize giving is on Sunday the 21st of march.
Fishing dates are march 20th and 21st 2010 with 22nd a reserve day in case of bad weather.22nd is a public holiday.
Launching times are first light.weigh closes at 6 pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
Boundaries are from zinkwazi in the north to port Shepstone in the south…it is compulsory to use the SMS system to record your launches , beaches and catches. No SMs no prizes….
As long as the angler and catch are present at the weigh in before these times catches will be recorded….No catches submitted after these times will be recorded…
The competition is a one fish one prize comp which means one fish can only win one prize as per the organisers discretion
There are prizes for the following categories.
Top 15 biggest fish
Biggest fish on a kayak
Biggest fish on a jet ski
Biggest couta
Biggest snoek
Biggest kingfish (release only)
Biggest tuna
Biggest other
Top junior
Top lady angler
First recorded released billfish.
There is a catch and release system which will work by means of digital photo evidence only…this will be discussed at the briefing.this works for the kingfish species only.
There are various lucky draw prizes and give aways including some kayaks and trips to Mozambique.
