Gents
I used to have a Yeld Cat 17ft that came with two 85 Yammies (2 stroke) with Elec trim and tilt, the motors were not fixed onto the cylinder arm, so if you wanted to you could free the motors in case of hitting a rock or riding the boat onto the beach I suppose.
I am no expert on sea going boats but I have see guys heading into shore and ride the boat right out onto the beach.
With my new boat (Escape Unreel 510) I have 2 Suzuki 4 Stroke Motors on, with elec trim and tilt, because I use the boat for trolling on lake vic and the nile river which is known to have alot of rocks right underneath the surface, I would like to "free" the motors so that if I do hit something they can simply lift over the object with no real damage caused to the transom. Unfortunately I havent got the foggiest idea how.
If anyone can advise on how this works it will be much appreciated.
