hello all at sealine,
yesterday i was pumping for prawn at sunrise circle and was sadly witness to the most vulgar rape of our fishing stocks. i don't know if it is so but if not it should be made very illegal(spelling) to treat this magnificent beauty in such a manner .:uzi
when the net came in there was only about 20/30 harders that had been caught but there was a kolstert, what looked like an undersized stumpnose , a couple of St.joseph sharks und sum beautifull steenbrass the bigest of which was +/- 600cm long. NOTHING was put back into the water but rather went down the front of their oilskins. the terrible thing was that the big steenie couldn't be hidden away so it was flung about 7m towards the water but missing it completely and rather hitting dry sand
, now in anyone's books that would have been a hard landing. it left me feeling quite sick cause law abiding citizens spend loads of cash on tackle ,permits ect. and maybe if you are lucky you get to land such a beauty. For me it wouold have been an early chrismas prezzie if i was allowed to show mini me (who was with me at the time)how t
o return that fish to the water.
If sum1 knows the law with regards to trekking please let me know if this type of activity is allowed
By the way ....mini me landed his first galjoen(klipvis) at betties this weekend...the look on his face was priceless(pitty no camera with me)but his joy was short lived when he had to return it
