Travelling to Namibia

Hi All,

With our Henties trip starting on this coming Saturday, we will be travelling with at least two firearms. Do SAPS still offer the service of leaving your gun at the Vioolsdrif border post.

I believe that this was common practise in the past and I need to find out if this still exists especially with the new Firearms Control Act now out?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Mike, I wouldnt do it. SAPS would be the last people i trust with my gun. Have you seen how many SAPS firearms are lost annually?

Thanks Brett but I already got an answer from SAPS at Vioolsdrif. They do not offer that service anymore because of the new Firearms Control Act. My baby will just have to sleep at home! :::S
