OOPS did it again, didn't go Barbel-fishing this weekend. My son had a mate that stayed with us for the weekend ,and they decided that it was a good idea to go and get his mate into his first ever Bass.It ended up great with his buddy Nico catching no less than 7 on his debut, including the biggest one ,my son Rowallan got 12,which gave him bragging rights for the most . Yours truly came in with two well-earned titles namely ,SMALLEST BASS,and LEAST BASS,  accolades that was repeated well over four hundred times on our drive back.  Lol

Take a kid fishing,it's well worth it.

Looks like a fabulous dam to swim some horny toads!!!

Nice going kids!
Loams, is a horny toad some surefire bet that I will beat them next time.Maybe I can use it without them noticing, inbetween "spotting" for them and unwrapping their lines from the rod-tips,helping to carefully land and release the bass,I need something really powerfull to make up for time lost.Show me a pic of this horny toad please, give me the edge. LOL loL SERIOUS ABOUT THE PIC THOUGH

This lure rocks... Swim it over the lilly pads with the odd jerk... Slow it down, speed it up and hang on!!!

Loams, thank you so much,I have seen them around and the way you rig them they seem weedless, are you using those fancy hooks with the thingymagig that pushes into the plastic's nose to keep it,AAHH KEEPER-HOOKS. thats the word,?

Thanks bud

You don't need fancy hooks with frogs... Wide gap, or extra wide gap is fine... definately a rig to fish weedless, and don't set your hook to quickly after the take. Give it 3 seconds... And trust me, 3 seconds feels like an hour when you had a big blowup on your frog.

I stole the pic of the net.... But that's how to rig them

Good luck, and take some pics when you get them on frogs!
