This is a STD trace as used by the majority of Cracker fishermen. The intention of the rig is to keep the bait well presented close to and between the rock bed where cracker feed.

Water where Cracker feed is often strong and this rig prevents your snoods from movement which add to the possibility of getting snagged.

This is a limited pully rig I came up with to fish for Cracker.

It is very different from the STD rig used by many of the expert Cracker chaps in PE, but sometimes it helps to be different! LoL

The rig consists of the same length hook and simker snoods, but allows for the CRacker to better mouth the bait before it feels the weight of the (often snagged) sinker.

Because the sinker can be clipped for neat long casts you can make the sinker snood much lighter than your main line. This is an advantage in fishing the rocky home grounds of Musselcracker as the sinker line will snap first...leaving you your fish to safely land.

Hi Trophy

Would you use a some kind of float to suspend the bait a bit? Or do the crackers feed of the rock bed?
