There is a book called Tackle Craft written by C.Boyd Pfeiffer that covers all the facets of lure making.

It was last printed in 1974 I think so finding a copy might be difficult.

The price is still on mine. A whopping R8.15

I did a deal with a "Friend"in 1987. We exchanged books for a month.

He took off with my books and was never heard from again.

I thought I got a bad deal but actually I came out on top.

The book covers making poppers, spinners, crank baits, jig heads, soft plastics, spoons, floats, bucktails, gaffs, rod building and even net making and repair.

Try find a copy. Really worth it's weight in gold.

If you can find a used one, buy it.

There are two editions of this book, the older one that is called Tackle craft, and the newer edition called modern Tackle Craft, both by Pfeiffer. Definitely looks worthwile....if you can find one that is not the price of a new Exceller Plus!!!
