Sorry for the late report!
AVION had our may month club comp at Steyns on 3 May 2014. I sat on the point, almost facing what I believe is Bochkop. I had 2 fish in the net within 5 minutes after starting. Thereafter my troubles started...
Just about every fish got stucked as soon as I got the bite. Resorted to fishing +-70m which was short of the snags in my area. My tempo dropped an ridiculous amount after coming closer but I managed to land my fish. Something that made a big difference.
Roundabout 12 I put out a slangwurm on a nr 5 daichi for a Barbel. Result: 25 minutes later a monster reelrun!
2 minutes later I land a muddy.... On a nr 5 daichi... Nice!
Ended up with 7 fish, 3something kg.
