I noticed the "Dummies Guide" has been removed/deleted?

I am looking for a bit of direction and I am sure I have come to the right place.

I want to buy a gun and a few other accessories, just not sure what all is needed. I have the basic soft gear (wetsuit, mask, snorkel).

depending on where you dive you will need a wetsuit (I used a surf suit in the beginning) but the most important thing is a gun... without that you wont be able to shoot a fish... mask is also important, fins, wetsuit, dive belt with weights... and the list goes on and on....best is to find someone spearing and join them first and see if you can lend some equipment first...

I have a rough idea of what is needed, I was looking more at specifics. Like I said I have a wetsuit, mask, snorkel, weight belt.

What gun would be recommended for medium sized fish and the odd biggie? Rail gun? Reel gun?

depending on where you dive and what the conditions are like you will need different gun lenths and or reelgun... you are from pe and I know you could get really good size cracker there... I would suggest a 1m railgun with a 15m float line.... good starting point
