I have been reading the posts on fishing lines and heres my 2cents. For many years now the South Coast anglers have been using KP reels and speed spin line to target large kingfish. My brothers over the years have caught many of these using this line. Here some pics on his 19kg giant kingfish caught in Feb 2013.:shark:sa:
Tackle used Blue Marlin 400/5, KP HGB reel,550m 90lb pink speed spin and backing of 500m 23kg Kingfisher GA, 1mm trace line and using non return slide trace and live blacktail for bait.
We have also been disappointed with the new and improved Kingfisher GA Lines and would like anglers opinion who have tried speed spin line.
