Speed Boat?

I am planning to restore the boat, but I am a total rookie in this regard but are a nifty carpenter. After many YouTube videos, I feel like a pro. ;-) I still have some questions before I start and hope that someone can help me.
Q1 - What do I need to do in terms of buoyancy to get it approved.
Q2 - Will it be possible to add extra seating in the front without structurally damaging the boat?
Q3 - What is the cheapest way to carpet the boat, I heard that carpets specifically made for boats are expensive?
Any help will be great!

1 buoyancy you will need to get the hull filled with foam and get a buoyancy certificate stating your boat as minimum 30% total weight flotation.

Then you will need to get all the safety equipment and get a certificate of fitness this needs to be renewed every year.
You will also need a skippers license. There they will teach you all that is necessary for your boat legally.

So I need to do the buoyancy before I start the renovation etc.
Any specific foam to use? How do they test if it will have 30% floating capabilities?

You will have to have a SAMSA surveyor come and check your 30% foaming job just before you close it up with the deck.
Super important to take lots of photos for proof if you close the deck back up if they dont come and look most surveyors will find that sufficient, then at some stage they measure everything up to check if the 30% works out or is true.
In terms of putting seating up front I would strongly advise against this, thats even if your buoyancy certificate at the end would allow it, that many people on that size boat. Looks like a max 2-3 man boat.
