Spearfishing near Capetown

Hi guys
A friend and I are trying to start spearfishing before uni starts next moth. I was hoping you could point us in the right direction as to where the best spots this time of year is for beginners. We have some experience snorkeling around Mosselbay over December months and we took my friends 600mm speargun out a few times, but that's about it... But I have no idea where to start looking for good diving spots

Do a Facebook search for a group called Bluespearos.Then request to join.
They are based in Cape Town and have regular spearing compi's. During the summer months they have pool sessions at the Goodwood pool, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm till about 6:30pm.
