Hi Guys - a mate of mine has the above unit but it is Geo fenced, I believe that there is a software upgrade that can unfence it, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Well the purpose of geo-fencing is not to help the theoretical consumer who has just bought the device as since he/she now owns it can do with it what he/she likes. The problem is that software allows the manufacturers of devices, be it car, phone, PC, GPS etc. to act like they still own the device and use the software to implement actions on the device without the owners consent. Crack the bastrd! Imagine buying a car and now it won't drive because it was "manufactured for another region", madness!
