Sodwana update

Any feedback on catches that members made over the last 2 weeks at Sodwana?

We are heading to Soddies for a week at the end of the month and I would also like to find out what the daily launching costs are. I know there are fees per person for entering the park daily, but do they also charge for beach access to launch the boat?

You can find the info on the Isimangaliso website. There is a number you can phone as well.

My son was at Sodwana over the December break. It sounds like there was quite a few Dorado and Tuna that came out.
He did not see a lot of bill fish flags on the returning boats.

I'm heading to sodwana next week for 5 days. Anyone know what's happening on the surf fishing side of things? I don't have a boat yet unfortunately

Hi there eli
You can fish from the rock ledge at the launch area going south. I know about a 32kg king that came out there earlier this year. I personally caught my PB Stumpnose (4.5kg) in front of the light house with a ghost crab.
The guys fish at the launch site in the late afternoon with GT ice cream plugs.
Sliding live baits off the ledge also brings success. There are monster kingies coming into the bay late afternoon and early in the morning. The morning can be a bit of a problem with the boats launching.

I hope this can help
