So Saturday afternoon myself and a friend of mine decide to try the local klipriver and Boy was it great. My wifes bro in law was telling me that friday that a friend of his caught a great size bass there on live worms and that i should give the man a call and if he is there we can join him, reason being is that the place is a bit secluded and we are a bit paranoid about security. We get there and he takes us to the place. Its upstream and on a section where a lake flows into the river Lovely place. 30 minutes in and Ziyad hooks a lovely bass on a horny toad. I had a few takes as well but that section will really be great if 1 has a smal boat to go and explore the lake. Pics will come as soon as he mails them to me as my pc crashed last night. Now i want to try some of the private places in the vacinity.

Safety is a relative concept....... You can be safe anywhere, your posse's ammount of weapons just needs to be more and of a bigger caliber than the approaching posse.... oh and you need to be a bit trigger happy:spite but I'd also like to know why exactly isn't safe (other than it being just off the golden highway).

To really fish that lake 1 would need a small boat so that you can get to all the inaccesable areas im sure that you would kill it as we were fishing were the water is fed into the river. That lake is NEVER fished for bass as most of the fishing there is done for carp and barbel.
As for the safety concept I agree, I only went there because there was a friend of a friend there already who fishes there often althou he mentioned to me that he has been fishing there for the past 11 years with only 1 incident. I would never go there alone. But there were a few other guys fishing there for carp and barbel.

Because now a days you can’t fish anywhere from the bank without being robbed. Unless at a bass farm. I have friends that are also from lenz and they warned me that it might not be a safe place to fish. A friend of mine’s friend fished there and were robbed. 1 Month later somebody else they know were also fishing there and some guys came up and was selling the other guys bass tackle. It’s like the quarry in samrand. Everybody knows there are some nice fish in there. But with reason.
