Just went dropshotting with Charles at short Pier. I got the first couple of casts in as he was rigging up. In this period I got hit by kings and snoek on every cast! And guess what, NOT A SINGLE HOOK-UP!!! Darn!!!

Charles had a go and on with second cast!!! Was a nice little snoekie, his first and new specie to his long list. Then, about his 4th cast, AGAIN!!! On dad!!! He landed this here Green spot with 3,8kg mono. His PB for green spot!

After that it went dead, not a bite.

This here is the Snoekie

nice catches, is there another pier parallel to this that has no flat surface and more boulder rocks?

Hi Salty, there is 3 piers running out of Richards Bay harbour. The middle one is the short one, but produces a lot of fish. The North pier is the only one you are not allowed to drive on. Good for live bait fishing (Sharks, Kob and Garrick mainly). Not a popular dropshot destination as the waves get pretty big that side which makes it very hard to land fish with our light tackle. Then there is the legendary South Pier. A dream to fish on, but you need a key to go there.

Hi Fishing Adventures, Both those fish was cought on the sensation tiny teaser 3.5" white minnow.
