I fished the Gauteng Pro Mania at Mihanzi and it was a very difficult day.
Myself and Johan Marx was pegged at 3 and 4 to the very left of the bank. It looks like the river side.
The fishing was very difficult and a lot of the seasoned anglers blanked for the day.
I arrived at the water with only one off my graphite’s as the other one was mistakenly left at home…… (How embarresing)
The other rod I brought along was my social rod and didn’t dare take it out of the bag……
My only other option was my 8ft rod which I fished at 57m the whole day.
I managed 4 VERY small muddies (8ft rod) for about 140gr all together LOL
The muddies took very fine swd with Fireball/Fireworks on the ball. I used M1 with 0.21mm hooklinks.
I narrowly missed out on the prize money as my zone bled to get fish. Johan Marx had 2 fish one of which was a 5kg carp he caught at 120m. He did very well and landed in the top 3 for the day.
The guys that sat in zone 1 and 2 to the far right did very well with bags up to 12kg.
