remember to take pics and report......

Well i didnt get pics of the first day i took it out, which wasn't great anyway, but i did manage to get a OK bass on my new set up. :fswim

09 May, Myself and Riaan hit Nekkies...The fishing was tough, but it was a really nice day, and it was fun to launch the mariner 4 (i have no name for it yet) on the river to just cruise and fish. I managed to catch my PB Smallie in the morning, was great!! Nothing much after that. Although i did get a small largemouth there...which was strange, i didnt know that there were largies at nekkies. Heres some pics.

I am glad to see that you are enjoying the Intex 4 man boat, personally i think it's the worst thing that i caught have bought.

My first 1 was leaking at the valve so i took it back and received a brand new 1. The second 1 i recieved has only been in the water twice.

I find it 2 much of an effort in inflate and deflate this boat but worst of all is the floor that rolls up and it's a stuggle to fit it back there.

all the best

ps. you just can't beat a real bass boat.

I always fish with someone else on the boat...therefore its much easier to pump up with two pumps and two people. Plus, it's so easy to just deflate fold twice and throw it in the back of my car(its a hatchback and the back seats go down). I dont ever try put it in the bag. It takes riaan and i about 10min to get it out the car and on the water, and 10min from water to car.

I love bass boats too, but the only problem with that is u cant fish and small body off water with it(no place to launch the thing), so u have to fish big dams with special launching zones and all. And there are not many places in/near cape town for it to be worth it really(for me). I think there is ALOT more 'effort' that has to be put into a bass boat, than what has to be put into an inflatable.

Only thing is with a inflatable is larger dams take a while to get around with just a trolling motor.:doh

Be nice to have both though.^^..
