Sealine spearfishing club

Well as most of you know , there is not an abundance of spearo clubs in the southern suburbs ,

This got me thinking.

Maybe we should look at starting a new club , there are many sealine members who are posting in the spearfishing section of the forum and there are guys out there that dont have access to boats and sites ect.

I have a great boat for fishing and spearing , but not really utilising it as i should be

maybe we should arrange a few sealines in the cape area to get together and discuss in further detail , or get out on the boat and check out some reefs and dive spots to get the ball rolling .

 

What do you guys think.

If anyone is intetrested , post a reply and lets see where we go from here.

I like the way you are thinking. I also stay in the southern suburbs but don't have a boat, I'm very willing and keen to do some diving and fishing (especially with this stupid ban which makes life a bit difficult in CT). give me a pm and we can talk numbers!

you guys are so lucky,all the spearos are from cape town.if i see a new topic i get excited,and then after seeing that its from cape town i get sad.why dont you guys have a trip to durban or toti?then i can come along.huh what do you guys say?:spite

I dont know if you are aware but here is a group of about 30 cape town spearo's who have a weekly email network/club going giving weekly dive reports etc, It was started as an informal email club by A guy called Faiz ,however has grown and seems to be getting more formalized, even had a competiton.They meet once a month in Parow wich is a bit of a trek from the southern subburbs, i dont attend for that reason but i am still am part of the mail network if you want to find out more drop me a pm and i will give you Faiz mail adress.

We had out first hottie shoot compie few weeks back too which went very well, lots of fun :) The clubs just starting to get off the ground now and is going to be a bit more formalised shortly.

Thought that was you when I checked out your profile some time back. We must still get together for a dive sometime. Planning to go scratch out some bugs at the opening-of-the-season on Sunday. Thinking of Klippietjies or somewhere around there (past Gordon's Bay). Drop me a PM if you keen.
